About Full On Living

Full On Living is a great place to be if you have a portfolio career, a compilation lifestyle, a dream to fulfil or are simply intrigued by the idea and those of us that do.

Full On Living website and blog have been created for three reasons:

For you:

1) The Blog: I have dedicated a blog space amongst the gazillions of websites in cyberspace where Full On like minded people that 'get it' can really share, meet, learn, explore and adventure together - in particular, portfolio career people, entrepreneurs, professionals and dreamers (like me);

2) The website and blog: I hope the website and blog comments and commentators will inspire you to live the life that you truly want, help you to find your purpose, trust your instincts and to fulfil your dreams - by encouraging those of us that have, do and are, to share our experiences with you and show you it is possible; and

For me:

3) The website: Full On Living website is my personable (and personal) 'new world' unconventional yet innovative resume without the boring bog standard professional Curriculum Vitae (happy to provide that too if potential clients and/or agents desire the same for ease of reference - simply contact me). In a way Full On Living website is my Full On CV! I've created the website this way so that potential clients and agents can get a feel for who I am, and not just what I am, when assessing how I may be able to benefit them. I'm also hoping it will help my friends, family, colleagues and business associates understand why I (and those like me) do the things I (and we) do!

So, what is a portfolio career?

It's rejecting the old single profession model.

It's like having a portfolio of investments and being a multi-trick pony. Rather than putting all of your eggs in one basket and being a one trick pony you spread the risk and increase the opportunity by diversifying ...

It's about discovering that maintaining a 'portfolio' of different careers can pay off in terms of time, money and quality of life. You scale back some of the time you spend on your 'main' career to give you time and freedom to develop other strings to your bow and to pursue other interests. I find that the benefits of a portfolio career include:

* you decide when, how and on what you work;
* you get to develop, hone and use your portfolio skills across your different careers;
* you are CEO of your own bespoke career - you can structure work around your lifestyle;
* you get to pick and choose your attitude to work;
* you allow yourself the freedom to pursue something you feel close to (or drawn to);
* you make room for all the things you want to be in your life;
* you create the space to fulfil your dreams;
* you get the opportunity to make yourself feel happy and fulfilled; and
* you get to spread your well-honed handbag of skills across different part-time roles bringing
  you increased security.

You get to live life Full On ...

Portfolio career examples:

- Marci Alboher: lawyer / journalist / author / writing coach.
- Denise Nurse: lawyer / weather presenter (Sky News).
- Chrissie Lighfoot: lawyer / legal sales coach / entrepreneur / model.
- Shireen Smith: lawyer / marketing & website business owner.
- Anita Westmorland: actor / director / event manager / interior designer.
- Ben Bowles: advertising planner / wedding photographer / honey producer.
- You?

If you 'get it' too and desire to truly live a Full On life then this is the place to feel encouraged, be inspired and become energised.

* I dare you to be different ...
* I dare you to leap out of your comfort zone ...
* I dare you to make the transition from existing to living ...
* I dare you to make the changes that will make you truly happy ...

  I dare you to get off your butt, fulfil your dreams and make it count.

  Are you ready now to step inside and blog?
