A wonderful friend of mine always encourages me to train (exercise) hard.
A while ago he said to me "you have to make the miles count. There's no point in training if you're going to produce 'junk miles'." His words echo every time I put on my 'leisure' shoes, step outside the door and hit the road (whether on foot or cycle).
And so it is. When I do active leisure I make it count. No junk miles. Full On. This way I improve. That's the theory anyway!
Doing active pursuits helps blow away the cobwebs, clear the mind, gets the blood boiling, heart pounding, adrenalin pumping and spirit rocking!
You feel alive!
Whether you enjoy active leisure to compete or for fun, to spend time with family, friends, work colleagues or alone it has many physical, psychological, emotional and spiritual benefits. You can't help but look and feel great!
Active leisure tones the parts that passive leisure cannot reach !
