Making It Count ...

Hi, I'm Chrissie Lightfoot ...

    ... Just an ordinary woman living a Full On life ...

I am not a mega successful entrepreneur like Anita Roddick, Martha Lane Fox or Deirdre Bounds. I haven't "made it"... Yet ...

However, like many other ambitious entrepreneurial women, I'm going to have a lot of fun trying to be one! If I'm lucky I might actually achieve one of my dreams ... financial freedom.

I may not have followed (or be following) the traditional, conventional, stereotypical or most secure route through life because I have always been (and will continue to be) determined to pursue my dreams.

Guess I'm what you would probably describe as a little unconventional, unorthodox, maverick, even quirky ... but I reckon that's ok. I've tried a lot of stuff and have a lot more on the radar. I must admit though I'm starting to get a little concerned that I might only have another 62 years left (assuming I live to 100) to fit everything in that I still want to do.

Yes, I've achieved some 'success', experienced real joy and true love. And 'yes', I've had some not so successful experiences, made some mistakes, a few bad choices and endured real pain, sadness and heartache. Haven't we all? I've made some people happy and some sad along the way (that sucks, I know). But I'd like to think that I've learned from it all. And will continue to do so. It's what's made me who I am right now and the kind of woman I aspire to be.

I have no regrets.

My life story is where I draw the strength from to keep getting back up every time I fall. It's what keeps me smiling when life throws another curve ball.

So, I'm in the rat race and zig-zagging, or rather zag-zigging, on the treadmill of life.

But I'm a happy rat.

I feel truly blessed. I've fulfilled many dreams already but I have even more in the pipeline. After all is said and done, it's the sum total of reaching for and achieving my dreams that will make me be a better woman ....
