I'm a woman entrepreneur. And proud of it.
Of course, we tend to think of the stereotypical entrepreneur as the type we hear about in the media such as the Dragons Den 'gurus' and the high profile mega successful entepreneurs such as Bill Gates and Richard Branson.
And then there are the kind of entrepreneurs that have helped create what we are doing right now i.e. internet communication. Tim Berners-Lee (inventor of the world wide web), Vint Cerf (father of the internet), Jakob Nielson and Marc Andreeson.
However, the world is also amok with, dare I say it, lower profile, 'not so many zeros after the name' and 'not so revolutionary' kinds of entrepreneurs ... the likes of you and me - Mr & Mrs Smith (without the Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie looks) - women entrepreneurs, young entrepreneurs and serial entrepreneurs that make a quiet living and small difference creating a footprint in time.
Personally, I've always been intrigued by the 'Del Boy' type. Survivors, no matter what. Always looking for a better way. And if anything, they tend to make you laugh!
Crazy ideas, crazy products, crazy services, crazy people.
In spite of the world laughing, the world moves on and progress is made because of these crazy entrepreneurs. Ironic ... Wonderful.
An entrepreneur is probably the most stereotypical portfolio career, compilation career, compilation lifestlye and Full On type of portfolio worker.
In most cases entrepreneurs tend to have a few things on the go all at the same time. It's the nature of the beast.
Variety truly is the spice of life ...
